What a terrific day to play some match play golf...oh wait, everyday is a terrific day when you're Slamming. And, guess what everybody? That's right.....another forecasted rainy Tuesday with absolutely no rain! Not a single drop fell on the Slammers as an almost full field with 4 groups played our very own City of Ottawa course which hosted the Sun Scramble "D" division just yesterday. The course was actually quite lush with thick green roughs and it was evident that some serious rains had fallen overnight. It's Ottawa Sun Scramble week in the city and the "C" division headed up the valley and inducted Dragonfly into the Sun Scramble family of courses. The Sun Scramble Tweets coming in as the groups progress through their rounds are an excellent way to keep up to date with the week's activities and to see how our fellow Slammers are making out in the field. More Notables from Group 1: A bit of drama on the 18th hole. Clang goes 4-up on PointZero on the back nine then PZ battles back. Clang 1-up on the 18th tee. Both players miss the green on approach but PZ chips it too 3 feet and Clang chips it to 12 feet. Clang misses the putt to secure the win...PZ misses the 3 footer for the tie. Clang wins the match!
