Great golf in a prime location on your doorstep in Ottawa. This is what the new private sector operators of Pine View can boost about. A location where many can work hard in the morning and then reward themselves by taking the afternoon off from work and golf the rest of the day with little or no commute. And currently, Pine View is in top notch summer condition with excellent fairways and true and quick greens. Several seasons ago, Pine View had the reputation of having rock hard fairways in the summer, slow greens, a staff that didn't care and a 19th hole with poor food and little service such that many golfers went to the Oak across the street. But no longer as the new Pine View is earning a solid reputation as the place to golf with great conditions if you are taking the afternoon off and want to be home for dinner. It was so busy today, that it was difficult to find a parking spot. The Slammer Tour, on its regular Thursday stop at Pine View, is discovering this Ottawa golf gem. Fairway and greens were in outstanding condition, the service from proshop to 19th hole was top notch and the Slammers enjoyed all aspect of this gem. Thank you Slammers for this great event at this great location.
