Lots bailed due to the forecast early in the week for 80% chance of rain. Mother nature did spit a little today and gave us some wind making for tougher playing conditions. Two groups came out to enjoy the Slammer Tour and play some match play golf. A few played well while the majority... not so much. It was a 3 dog night and a 7 skin day with only one birdie registered in the field. Hopefully, it's the last we see of the iffy weather conditions. Your OC, KC.
Koala is the event winner as he records a very good Slammer day playing his 100th Slammer career event. He goes undefeated taking out Shorts, 3 Putt and defends with a draw against LannyK. The Pine View greens were longer and slower than usual adding strokes to many scores. I expect it is related to the recent storm we experienced. Fairways will need a week of dry weather to come up to summer conditions. Just glad to see Pine View come out of that storm okay.
