11 Slammers headed out to Pine View today on this first day of August. As the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz says, I am melting, that's what it felt like at tee off in the humidity. Then at hole 2, out of nowhere really, the skies opened up and drenched everyone for about 2 holes then cleared up and we were back to melting in the humidity again. But at least our clothes dried. Two City Match-Play games were on today, both in the quarter finals. In the Senior Open the players were Kevin Bellamy (Safe Shot) vs Jim Walker (Wrongway), the winner was Safe Shot. In the Super Senior B division it was Rick Turner (Gator) vs Brian Kebic (Lucky) and it is Lucky that will move on. Congrats!
This Slammer went 1 and 1 today and got 5 birdies, which was good for 3 skins. Also took home a doggie and shot a whopping 11 strokes under his median. I'd say he played the right way today! Great outing.
